MEDI.바카라 에볼루션 secures KRW 13 billion Series A funding to officially launch personalized food care solution business

Key investors in this round included Premier Partners, Samsung Venture Investment, and Redbadge Pacific. According to the company, the investment reflects a strong evaluation of MEDI.SOLA's technological capabilities and growth potential by the participating investors.

MEDI.바카라 에볼루션 is a food tech company founded in December 2021 by CEO Lee Seung-yeon and CEO Lee Don-gu. Lee Seung-yeon, formerly Vice President of S FOOD, played a key role in establishing and managing retail brands such as 'Johncook Deli Meats,' overseeing marketing, sales, and operations. Lee Don-gu, on the other hand, has extensive experience in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors, having led investment initiatives at KB Investment. In 2024, the company secured around KRW 2 billion in funding through a pre-Series A investment round.

MEDI.바카라 에볼루션 implements a ‘home-cooked-based food care’ system, offering two categories: ‘Food Care,’ designed for proactive health maintenance, and ‘Medi Food,’ which provides targeted nutritional support for individuals with specific health concerns. Through this model, the company aims to deliver sustainable health management solutions through food as a means of personalized care.

In addition, MEDI.바카라 에볼루션 is expanding beyond conventional healthy diets into the digital healthcare sector through ‘ARCHEN.X’, an AI-based healthcare platform currently under development. This initiative includes improvements in diet design algorithms, the identification of data-driven functional food ingredients, and the development of digital diet prescription technologies.

Notably, MEDI.바카라 에볼루션 has been conducting joint clinical intervention research with Severance Hospital for over six years, aiming to validate its solutions’ clinical efficacy in real-world patient settings. Through this research, the company is simultaneously strengthening its technological credibility and academic standing. The studies focus on diverse target groups, including patients with recurrent breast cancer, hyperlipidemia, and chronic kidney disease, and have resulting in the publication of SCI(E)-level papers. By leveraging this medical verification process, the company is establishing a high entry barrier in the dietary intervention market, distinguishing itself from competitors.

With the newly secured investment, MEDI.바카라 에볼루션 aims to accelerate its comprehensive business expansion across multiple areas, including enhancing AI-based diet design algorithms, expanding R&D on customized functional foods for specific diseases, scaling its food care platform through the integration of health data, and accelerating its entry into the B2B and B2C markets.
